In 1999 Kent Clelland moved from Los Angeles, California to Berlin (Kreuzberg) Germany. At this point LapCore was born.

Over the years, LapCore has performed and produced club music using custom programmed software and home-brew electronic (control) devices. LapCore’s music ranges from Ambient to Zerhacked and everything in between… BreakCore, Techno, Minimal, House, Elektro, Chill-Out, Electronica, &c &c &c…
All forms and styles of computer music.

All of the music found at LapCore.org is free to download in mp3 format.

The music is divided into three categories:

* LapCore Exclusives : Original LapCore compositions and remixes published by 6i Musik and available for free under creative commons license.

* LapCore LIVE : Recordings of Live Laptop sets performed by LapCore.

* djLapCore : DJ promo mixes, usually 1 hour in length. The djLapCore materials are often examples of how one can mix LapCore exclusives into a functional DJ set, but also prominently feature artists working with software developed by Kent Clelland (via Native Instruments). You will hear a lot of tracks produced with Spektral Delay, Vokator, Reaktor, and the many other products Kent was involved in at NI…

We consider these tracks to be consumer quality (iPod quality) versions. A small selection of LapCore Exclusive tracks have been released on higher quality media (Vinyl or CD).
